Join our Child Placement Agency team and provide care and oversight to foster children and families.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Maintaining Child Placement & Treatment
Ensure foster homes on their caseload are doing their best to meet the needs of the child. Conduct monthly home visits to assess behavior of the children and address any concerns, issues, or progress reports with the foster family. Supervise the implementation of treatment plans for the child. Inform foster parents of training opportunities.
Foster Parent & Nanny Support
Oversee training and certifications for the Nannies and DWCF volunteers. Ensure that Nanny completes proper paperwork and requirements to be respite care provider, and that she is adequately educated in how to care for the child. Schedule volunteer orientations at DWCF.
Provide crisis intervention and emergency support for foster parents. Be available on call 24/7 according to the Agency Rotation Schedule. Attend court hearings as needed.
Record Keeping
Maintain a written record of all interactions with all parties connected to the case. This includes home visits, other visits with children, and phone calls. Document treatment plan meetings as needed, but at least every 90 days as required by state rule.
Create and maintain a physical file for each child as well as a record in the online agency database. These files include contact notes, treatment plans, progress reports, legal records, medical information, intake and placement paperwork, family contacts, and educational & psychological records.
Provide additional training as needed to foster parents and nannies.
Reintegration
Ensure regular prison visits are occurring between mothers of private placements and their children. Submit weekly prison visit list. Arrange transportation to prison visits. Occasionally attend these visits.
Support and assist the mothers of private placements upon their release from prison. Ensure they have transportation upon release. Assist with their aftercare program. Meet with mom at least once every three months and ensure treatment plan is maintained. Communicate progress or problems to Case Manager & Parole Officer as needed.
Qualifications
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Social or Behavioral Science is required. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ethical conduct and integrity with handling confidential information.
