New Horizons Thrift Stores is on a mission to bring joy to thrifting through friendly service, quality finds, and fair pricing. As a Truck Driver, you operate New Horizons commercial vehicles on scheduled routes supporting partner locations, thrift stores, and the Production Center. This includes partner pickups, inter-location product transfers, and assigned Pickup & Delivery routes.

Through consistent follow-through, clear communication, and professional conduct, you help ensure inventory moves reliably so our teams can serve guests well and advance the mission of New Horizons.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Transportation Operations

Moving product safely and reliably across the organization

• Safely operate assigned New Horizons commercial vehicles on scheduled routes.
• Complete partner pickups, inter-location product transfers, and assigned Pickup & Delivery routes as directed by Dispatch.
• Support timely delivery and transfer of product between partner locations, thrift stores, and the Production Center.
• Begin routes at assigned times, including early morning departures when required.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any concerns promptly.

Coordination and Communication

Supporting smooth logistics through clear follow-through

• Follow routing, scheduling, and dispatch instructions provided by the Dispatcher.
• Communicate delays, route issues, or equipment concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Represent New Horizons with professionalism when interacting with partner locations, store teams, and Production Center staff.
• Support trailer swaps, drop-offs, and pickups as assigned, including assisting with positioning or loading when required.

Equipment Care and Reporting

Helping keep vehicles safe and serviceable

• Operate vehicles responsibly to reduce wear, damage, and downtime.
• Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or irregularities promptly to the Dispatcher.
• Complete daily and weekly vehicle checks as trained and document issues as required.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff or vendors only as directed.

DOT Compliance and Safety

Operating within established systems to protect people and mission

• Follow all Department of Transportation regulations, safety standards, and company driving policies without exception.
• Maintain required licenses, certifications, logs, and records.
• Accurately complete logs and documentation as instructed.
• Participate in required safety trainings, audits, and reviews.

Team Support

Contributing to shared success

• Support logistics and transportation needs as scheduled to meet operational priorities.
• Work collaboratively with Dispatch, store teams, and Production Center staff.
• Uphold a culture of reliability, respect, and shared responsibility.

Physical and Schedule Expectations

• Ability to operate vehicles for extended periods.
• Ability to load, unload, or assist with moving product as required.
• Ability to maintain flexibility within scheduled routes and operational needs.
• Early morning starts and variable schedules may be required.
