Media Manager
Photographer/Videographer who enjoys creating content to tell the story of New Horizons.
Responsibility Statement:
Manage media content to communicate our message effectively to our donors and support marketing campaigns.
Primary Goals:
- Media Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive media strategy that aligns with the ministry’s mission and goals.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of engaging photo and video content that effectively communicates the ministry’s message and reaches the target audience.
- Social Media Management: Manage the ministry’s social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments, and analyzing engagement metrics.
Key Results Area:
- Produce videos that communicate NHM Programs and tell recipient’s stories
- Take quality photos that help tell the story of NHM
- Document events in prison and out of prison to communicate what is happening at New Horizons
- Manage Child Care photo schedule to take photos of foster children when needed
- Yearly staff photos of all families within New Horizons
- Manage social media posting plan
- Assist the marketing team in any campaign and projects
- Attend and participate in weekly marketing meetings
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Creativity – Detail-oriented with an eye for images and video that will capture readers’ attention. Initiative to create new ideas and projects.
- Equipment Basic knowledge of digital camera equipment, lighting equipment, lenses, and other necessary photography tools
- Editing Enjoys the technical side of editing and having longer editing projects
- Software – Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, such as Lightroom and Premiere Pro, as well as basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, would be helpful
- Story – Understanding elements of a story that make for compelling videos and photos
- Collaboration it is crucial to work closely with the marketing and fundraising team to help generate story ideas, review images, and assist in choosing great content for website, PR, and Social media channels
- Time management Able to manage project timelines to deliver materials in a timely manner. Has tenacity to see long projects through to completion.
- Flexibility Available at different times and days; their schedule must be flexible to accommodate the last-minute capturing needs.
